connected to Kids

Cary is a certified educator who teaches youth of all ages across South Dakota. She is the Director of Education at First Step Early Learning Center in Deadwood, South Dakota. She is a community lead for Early Learner Lead-Deadwood through United Way. She directly supports people, from infancy through every age. She is a mentor, advocate, curriculum development specialist and is passionate about supporting children deep and wide.

 

Mini-Lessons for our elders

Cary weaves hands and hearts together with mini-lesson events. They are creative, cross-curricular educational outreach programs for residents. Lessons are co-hosted at a variety of venues in multiple towns to maintain connection for participants who may otherwise not be able to attend, to their community and to each other.

At the Fence

On-site group learning. Cary’s Linking Fences project connects people in communities. Linking Fences is now an initiative of Creative Explorations Non-profit https://www.creative-exporations.org, she has taken her goals are to educate, forge and nourish diverse relationships across South Dakota and beyond. This work includes intra and inter-community work with varied organizations co-hosting events in multiple towns and public art installations on chain linked fences.
