connected to Kids
Cary is a certified educator who teaches youth of all ages across South Dakota. She directly supports people from early learning and on. Filling roles as mentor, advocate, curriculum development specialist, Cary supports children deep and wide.
Art Lessons for our elders
Cary weaves hands and hearts together with art lesson events. They are creative, cross-curricular educational outreach programs for residents. Lessons are co-hosted at a variety of venues in multiple towns to maintain connection to their communities for older participants. Those who may otherwise not be able to attend an event are connected to their community and to each other with these sessions.
Linking Fences
On-site group learning. Cary’s Linking Fences project, begun in 2017, weave people in communities together. This project is now an initiative of Creative Explorations Non-profit https://www.creative-exporations.org. Cary has taken her goals to educate, forge and nourish diverse relationships across South Dakota and beyond. This work includes community work with diverse, partnering organizations. With Creative Explorations lead, community groups co-host engagements that finish with public art installations on chain linked fences.
